Last night was Nathalie's first ever dance performance. It was so wonderful to watch her becoming more and more excited as the day went on with only moderate nervousness. She was SO happy to be up there with her new dancing buddies in fancy and frilly costumes with her family all watching. She did so well and I am so proud of her...I always hated the stage and/or public attention of any sort, so it was great to watch her not take after her shy mama and perform like she does when she thinks no one is watching. (Though, admittedly, her shower singing and living room dancing are a bit more uninhibited.)
This fall she is going to be doing more dancing and probably gymnastics.(She said she wants to do both...we'll see...) She is such a strong physical kind of girl I think it will be really good for her to learn about using her body. When she IS using her body how good she feels is so apparent- she just loves it.
And by the way, she did move away from the wall, really, I just didn't get any photos of her because she was moving too fast. (they just looked like big red blurs.)
