This was the latest in sidewalk sales out front of the old birthing center, my girl and her sweet best friend.
Quite the lovely sight, these two girls on a 85 degree day, enjoying each other and the momentary responsibility of retail life.

this day
A few days back we had the pleasure of spending the day with some of our dearest friends... (eating smoked trout-yum..., visiting their varied sheep and goat flock, and swimming in their pool.) What a lovely time.

Grateful.
Two little girls.
One amazing papa.
A kitty's purr.
Wonderful friends.
My parents (all of them...)
Dreams.
The sunshine.
A garden growing.
Our home.
The ocean with all it's clarity.
You.

Swimming with Tilly and Logan
A dear friend with her little ones and I met up at the swimming hole in Newcastle this past Sunday. Not quite warm enough to go all in (although her kiddos did!!! Eek!) It was still lovely to be there beside the water with them.
Nothing like an extra mama around to make you feel like it really is a village.
(Love you, girl, and your sweet little pumpkins.)

two girls
This is my little one and her buddy. I get to spend a ton of time with these two, and boy, aren't they something else...

To a teacher of Forest Ninjas
Yesterday afternoon I was blessed by the visit of an old friend.
She came, her long brown hair all down her back and her beautiful smile gracing my kitchen.
She held my babies and brought me chocolate covered pomegranate seeds.
She sipped her tea, asked about my life and answered all my questions about hers.
We filled in the blanks of the years gone by, like no time has gone by. That is how it always is with her- something I love about old good friends with no expectations.
Once we mulched a tomato bed together. On the day we met, and we both had this feeling that day that we'd already known each other a life time. I was 18 and she was 19.
In the years since we see each other more randomly then either of us would like and vow to keep in touch.
We try.
Occasionally.
Love you, sweet sweet girl. Come home soon.
